When America’s oldest resort (founded in 1766) decided to get a facelift we could not wait to see the outcome. We were included in an exclusive group of planners to experience the $150M restoration first hand and it did not disappoint. Just a three-hour drive from Washington, DC, the Omni Homestead is a perfect venue for the couple that wants a destination wedding with ease of access.

You know we love a good spa and the Homestead features the county’s oldest natural spa treatment, the Warm Springs in addition to their 28 treatment rooms and an on property mineral pool. Work on the street is that Thomas Jefferson bathed in the same pools.
Their newest addition is their event pavilion which has breathtaking views of the property and surrounding mountains.
There are numerous places to exchange vows on property, if you want glam or rustic, they’ve got you covered. Their ballroom renovations are stunning!
The accommodations were absolutely beautiful. They captured the history and spirit of the resort with a fresh approach. They also have five Presidential Suites on property with lots of room for hosting, entertaining or getting ready.
The on-property activities and amenities were seemingly endless. We had a few rainy days but this leisure area filled with games, puzzles and billiards shed any rainy-day woes that were had. And when all else fails, the lobby bar is open.
